Area Heat Map is in beta. It covers New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory.

What is it?

Area Heat Map shows your contact coverage on a map. It shades each suburb, and each property when you zoom in, by how much of it you know someone at. You see your strong streets and your gaps at a glance, so you know where to prospect next.

How it works

Voqo matches your contacts and listings to real addresses from the national address register. A property counts as covered when you hold a contact or a listing for it.
  • Zoomed out, each suburb is shaded by its coverage: the share of its addresses you know someone at.
  • Zoomed in, each property’s lot is shaded by its own coverage. A block of units is covered unit by unit.
  • Unconfirmed marks a match Voqo is not yet sure about. It does not count as covered until someone confirms it.
  • A property known only through a listing counts as covered.
  • A contact who has opted out of messages still counts. You still know who lives there.
Coverage updates as your CRM syncs and as Voqo matches new contacts.

How to use it

Choose your patch

Your patch is the set of suburbs your team works. Everyone in your workspace shares it.
  1. Open Insights → Area Heat Map.
  2. In Choose your patch suburbs, type a suburb name or a 4-digit postcode.
  3. Click each suburb you want. You can pick up to 30.
  4. Click Save patch. The map moves to your patch.
To change it later, click Edit suburbs at the bottom of the suburb list.

Find your gaps

The side panel lists your patch suburbs with the lowest coverage first. Each row shows how many of the suburb’s places you know someone at.
  • Click a suburb to move the map to it.
  • A very large suburb can read Zoom in to see coverage. Zoom in on the map to see it property by property.

See who you know at a property

Click a property on the map. The panel shows the address and each contact you hold there, with their role, how sure the match is, and where it came from. Click a contact to open their profile.
  • Known from a listing, no contact on file means you hold a listing for the property but no contact.
  • No known contacts at this address. means it is a gap.

Draw an area

Measure coverage for a few streets, or any shape you like.
  1. Click Draw area.
  2. Click on the map to add points. Click the first point, double-click, or press Enter to finish. Press Backspace to remove the last point, or Esc to cancel.
  3. The summary shows the properties, places, covered places and coverage for your area.
  4. Click Save area and give it a name. Everyone in your workspace sees your saved areas.
Saved areas keep their last count. A count older than a day looks faded and recounts when you open the area. Click Refresh to recount at any time. An area can hold up to 20,000 properties, about one large suburb. A larger area reads Area too large. Zoom in or draw a smaller area.

Common questions

Why can’t I pick a suburb in Western Australia? The beta covers New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and the ACT. More states follow. Why does my drawn area show a different percent from its suburb? An area counts the properties inside your shape. A suburb counts every address in its boundary, including addresses on properties that cross into the next suburb, so the two numbers can differ slightly. Why is a property I know still a gap? The contact’s address may not have matched an address in the register yet, or the match may be unconfirmed. Check the contact’s address in Voqo or in your CRM.

Benefits

  • Prospect where it counts: see the suburbs and streets where you know the fewest owners.
  • One shared picture: your whole team works from the same patch and the same saved areas.
  • Plan hyper-local work: saved areas are ready for targeted outreach in a later release.
