# Workspace Settings

> Set the country and timezone your workspace runs on. Phone formats, call logs, campaign monitors, reports and emails all follow them.

## What is it?

Your workspace has one timezone, and everything Voqo shows you about time follows it. Call times, daily campaign counts, report periods and the dates in post-call emails are all rendered in that zone. Set it once and every screen agrees.

## How does it work?

* **One setting, every surface.** Call logs, the SMS campaign monitor, the campaign inbox, reports and post-call emails all use the workspace timezone. Nothing reads your browser's clock.
* **Set automatically at signup.** Voqo picks a default from the country of the phone number you signed up with: Sydney time for Australia, New York time for the United States. You can change it any time.
* **Agents inherit it.** An agent uses the workspace timezone unless you set an override on that agent. See [Agent Advanced Settings](/tutorials/agent-settings/agent-advanced-settings#timezone).
* **Daily counts follow it.** A "day" in the campaign monitor runs from midnight to midnight in the workspace timezone, so your Monday is your Monday.

## How to use it

1. Open **Settings** and select the **Advanced** tab.
2. Under **Workspace Timezone**, choose your zone from the list.

Your choice applies as soon as you select it. There is no Save button. Every screen updates on its next load.

The date format follows the zone. Move a workspace to a United States zone and dates change to **month day, year**. Move it back to an Australian zone and dates return to **day month year**.

<Note>
  Changing the timezone re-cuts the day boundary on daily campaign counts. Yesterday's numbers can look different afterwards, because the day they are counted in has moved.
</Note>

If your team works across several offices in different zones, create a workspace per office. Each workspace keeps its own country and timezone. A new workspace starts with your organisation's country and the timezone of your other workspaces in that country. Change the timezone on the **Advanced** tab, and the country from the workspace menu below.

## Country

Your workspace has one country, and it sets how Voqo reads and shows phone numbers and addresses. A United States workspace accepts `212 555 0100` without a `+1`. An Australian workspace accepts `0451 660 338` without a `+61`. A number typed with its full country code always works in any workspace.

* **Set automatically at signup.** Voqo picks the country from the phone number you signed up with. Your first workspace inherits it. During setup you see one sentence, such as *"We've set you up in Australia, Sydney time."* Change either one later in **Settings**.
* **Changing the country also changes how dates and times are shown.** Move a workspace to the United States and the timezone becomes New York time and dates change to **month day, year**. Move it back to Australia and both return to Sydney time and **day month year**. Change the timezone afterwards on the **Advanced** tab if New York or Sydney is not yours.
* **It does not change your invoice.** Billing stays with your organisation. Changing a workspace's country changes phone and address formats, not your invoice.

To change a workspace's country:

1. Open **Settings**, select **Workspace**, then **General**.
2. Open the **⋮** menu on the workspace and select **Change Country**.
3. Choose the country and select **Save Country**.

### Your organisation's country

Your organisation also has a country. It sets your billing address and the default country for every new workspace. It does not change a workspace that already exists. To change it, open **Settings**, select **Organisation**, then **General**, and select **Change** beside the country line under your organisation name. Only organisation admins and owners see the link.

## Benefits

* Times on every screen match the clock on your wall.
* Phone numbers typed the way you dial them locally are read correctly.
* Daily campaign numbers line up with your working day, not with UTC.
* New team members and new agents pick up the right zone with no setup.

## Troubleshooting

* **A screen still shows the old zone.** Reload the page. Screens pick up the new zone on their next load.
* **Daily counts changed after you switched zones.** That is expected. The day boundary moved with the zone.
* **A local phone number is rejected.** Check the workspace country under **Settings → Workspace → General**, in the **⋮ → Change Country** dialog. A number without a country code is read against the workspace country. Type the full country code to add a number from another country.
* **One agent shows a different time.** That agent carries its own override. See [Agent Advanced Settings](/tutorials/agent-settings/agent-advanced-settings#timezone).
